Every year, we visit and write a blog post about the Cleveland Museum of Art's Chalk Festival. It is one of our favorite events in our community. This year, we also visited other art events on the same weekend, so we included our @sos_jr tweets with photos of these events as well. Enjoy!

Saturday, September 17, 2016 - Transformer Station and 17th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival

We were surprised to see a chalk portrait outside of Transformer Station (@TransformerStat), which extended to the west side the Chalk Festival taking place concurrently at the Cleveland Museum of Art (@ClevelandArt). In addtion to conceptual artist Dan Graham's exhibition in Transformer Station, we also saw three new Cleveland murals being created in the Hingetown (@hingetown) area by artists from The Cleveland Foundation's Creative Fusion program (@CleveFoundation).

The following tweets and retweets share what we first saw in the Transformer Station area, and later the same day at the 17th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival.

17th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival

Later in the day, we visited the Tremont West Development Corporation's (@TremontWest) 17th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival, which was sponsored by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (@CuyArtsC).

Sunday, September 18, 2016 - Chalk Festival at the Cleveland Museum of Art

We visited the Cleveland Museum of Art's 27th Annual Chalk Festival on its second day, Sunday, September 18, 2016. As he has done in previous years, Stuart added his chalk drawing to the display. Here are 221 of our photos of many of the chalk drawings we enjoyed (click full screen mode to view easily), followed by our @sos_jr tweets and retweets about the Chalk Festival.
