2020 Ice Festivals - North Coast Harbor and Lake Metroparks

We started 2020 by celebrating winter in Northeast Ohio by attending two ice festivals in January:

  • On Monday, January 20, 2020, we attended the North Coast Harbor Ice Fest (#IceFestCLE 2020), which included FREE admission to Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.

  • On Sunday, January 26, 2020, we attended the Lake Metroparks Farmpark Ice Festival.

The following are our tweets from these fun events, which include our videos and photos. We share them here to say how we appreciate being able to attend these annual ice festivals.

Please note that many of the activities that we participated in are available year round at these venues.  Learn more by visiting the websites for these organizations:

Shake the winter blues that fall upon Ohioans every January. The Farmpark Ice Festival will kick off with the unveiling of the Farmpark-themed ice chair and an ice carving demonstration. The night will end with a battle between fire and ice! On Sunday, witness some of the best ice carvers from around the country take part in a speed carving competition. Then come sit by one of our fire pits and warm up with hot cocoa and s’mores (additional charge). Plus, many other winter-themed family fun activities.
